Should I be happy or depressed?

Sun Nov 22, 2009, 5:01 PM
Tomorrow, Nov. 23, is my 25th b-day. I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to it or not, but I hope to be looking forward. Ever since my mum crashed and destroyed my slumber b-day party in 2006, my birthdays haven't been the same (that was my first slumber party of my own too!). The 2006 birthday was one of the most depressing days of my life (not to mention there were still people who hadn't showed up yet until later; all she said was to call those people and tell them not to come because "the party is canceled"). I have never forgotten that day and will never forgive her for what happened that time.

The year after, 2007, I felt incredibly lonely at Fanime '07 and it was my saddest (financially) con ever. So damn sad because I only had less than $100 for the whole weekend of 5 days, which meant that I didn't get anything at all from the Swap Meet or Dealer's Room (I only had enough for food and that was it). I felt so bad about that, but the good thing was that I still managed to have fun at the con, which is what counts right?

Also, after 06, my con count reduced to two cons, Fanime and Y-con. This year, I had started to go to more cons again, since I also went to AOD and Sac-anime winter. I hope to improve on the number of cons I go to so I can see peoples more and have more fun there.

Anyway, back to the original topic, I do have a number of things I'd like for my b-day and Christmas. One thing is a new job, which I'm very hoping I get. Another is some anime stuffs.

I've been asked to attend ALA, but that parking thing is such a TURN-OFF. $25.80/night for parking alone. It's plain stupid and I hate it badly. Not to mention I haven't even regged for it. Whatever to do, whatever to do?

As of now, my next con will be Fanime for sure. I'll try for Sac-anime again, but let's see what happens. All those attending Fanime, please contact me if you are in need of a room. I am needing roomies!

Lastly, I'll need lots of loves for my b-day. I hope to get not too depressed on it like I have for the last few years since 06...
